Former President Klaus Iohannis said on Sunday, after casting his vote, that this is an important day and that „the election must be conducted very well, very clearly, and without external influences.”

„It is important to realise that this time the election must be conducted very well, very clearly, and without any influences from outside Romania. I hope it will be a good day for Romania,” said Klaus Iohannis.

He voted on Sunday alongside his wife, Carmen Iohannis, at a polling station in the municipality of Sibiu.

In Sibiu County, 383,207 citizens are expected to vote on Sunday, with 421,720 ballots having been received for distribution, according to the spokesperson for the Sibiu County Electoral Bureau, Alina Voina.
