Mayor of Bucharest Nicusor Dan on Friday submitted his candidacy file and signature list to the Central Electoral Bureau.
The independent candidate in the presidential election said that, during the campaign, „the voice of the people” will be heard more than that of politicians. He also underscored that he is determined to maintain his candidacy for the presidency.
„The campaign that follows is about a large category of Romanians who are honest, who work, who pay their taxes, who have common sense, and who ask for very, very little. They ask that their voice be heard and that the state authorities they pay for work for them, not for some groups. This is what the electoral campaign will be about. In this campaign, the voice of the people will be heard much more than the voice of politicians,” the general mayor said in a statement to the press.
He thanked everyone who signed in support of his candidacy, the volunteers who supported him, as well as those who made donations. He also expressed gratitude to the People’s Movement Party (PMP), Right Force and other organisations that supported him in this period.
The event was attended by Right Force Chairman Ludovic Orban, who supports Nicusor Dan’s candidacy.
