The mix between the experience of older generations and the openness of young people to the new contributes to the development of any society, believes prime minister Marcel Ciolacu, who delivered a message on Thursday on the occasion of the National Youth Day.
„Today Romania celebrates its youth, the generations to whom we will entrust the future. They were born in a democracy, in a democracy we want them to continue to live. The enthusiasm with which they start out in life, which is specific to their age, needs the support of family, society and the state alike, and their development as people and future professionals in the most diverse fields must start from a solid base,” reads the prime minister’s message.
According to him, Romania’s young people have a potential that we all recognise whenever their results are confirmed in international or national competitions.
”In addition to these examples, there are many other young Romanians who perform by showing responsibility in everything they do, in their studies, in their daily activities and in society. We must offer them all equal opportunities in life and development prospects, including at institutional level. Personally, I have great confidence in our youth and since taking office I have maintained a constant dialogue with their generation, through their representative associations, on education, support and opportunities for young people, including through the government internship offer, aimed at familiarizing those who want to do so with the decision-making process at the level of the Government and subordinate institutions,” says the prime minister.
He assures young people of his full support.
”I assure you of my full support, dear young people! The mix between the experience of older generations and the openness of young people to the new contributes to the development of any society, and I believe that this is what we all want for Romania. We will have the confirmation that we have acted in the right direction if our young people create their aspirations for their future here in Romania, and those who have already chosen a path abroad will want to return home. Happy birthday to all young Romanians! Like any father or grandfather in Romania, I wish you to continue what our generations have started, confident in your own strengths and in the opportunities we are ready to offer you, through access to education and vocational training, jobs and support for young people,” the prime minister concluded in his message.
