PSD Ciolacu’s presidential candidacy probably out on Thursday

Published on

First Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Sorin Grindeanu said on Monday that the signatures collected for Marcel Ciolacu’s presidential bid are being centralised and the candidacy will probably be submitted on Thursday.

He was asked if the necessary signatures were collected for the submission of Marcel Ciolacu’s presidential bid.

„We want, as you already know; on Thursday we will probably submit the candidacy, depending on the prime minister’s schedule (…) Signatures are still being collected. We do not compete. The contest is related to voting. (…) We will go with as many as will be collected by then, correctly, transparently. You have seen all over the country that in our tents there are people who are really collecting signatures. These are centralised, we are in those days when all these signatures are centralised.”
