The Romanian Army needs generations of young soldiers who are as well prepared and motivated as possible for the challenges of the future security environment, on Monday said the minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, at the opening ceremony of the academic year of at the Ferdinand I Military Technical Academy (ATM) of Bucharest, the ministry informs.
Minister Tilvar emphasized that the military institution attaches particular importance to increasing the degree of motivation and the level of satisfaction of the staff of the Romanian Army, for the attractiveness of the military profession, in all its dimensions.
„No equipment, no matter how sophisticated it is, can perform without efficient people. The Romanian Army, which we want to be as capable and strong as possible, needs not only investments in providing it with the latest generation technology, but also generations of young soldiers as well prepared and motivated as possible for the challenges of the future security environment,” the minister of Defense told the students.
Opening festivities of the academic year were also organized at the academies of the forces categories, respectively at the Carol I National Defense University and the Medical-Military Institute in Bucharest. This year, approximately 3,800 students and master’s students are enrolled in the military higher education system.
Also, the opening ceremonies of the academic year took place in the MApN continuing training institutions: the Mihai Viteazul Land Forces Inter-Army Training School of Pitesti, the Aurel Vlaicu Air Force Inter-Army Training School from Boboc, of Vice Admiral Constantin Balescu Naval Forces Training of Mangalia, the Burebista Training School for Special Operations Forces of Vladeni, the Training School for Communications, Information Technology and Cyber ?Defense of Sibiu and the General-major Constantin Constantiniu Logistics Training School of Chitila.
