The total revenues of the Romanian Football Federation in 2023 exceeded EUR 37 million, and in this year’s budget EUR 37.2 million earnings are forecast, according to data provided during the FRF General Assembly.
The president of the Romanian Football Federation, Razvan Burleanu, said he wants FRF’s consolidated revenues at the end of this year to exceed EUR 40 million.
„We have financially stabilized the Romanian Football Federation, managing during this time to gain the trust of the private sector. The tripling of revenues is a remarkable performance, as is the fact that we have succeeded throughout these years, through the dialogue with the Romanian Parliament and Government, various fiscal facilities. At the end of 2023, we check the tripling of the FRF’s revenues, based only on resources from the private sector, and the target regarding the consolidated revenues of the Romanian Football Federation for the end of 2024 is to exceed 40 million euros, which means that we enjoy a very high level of trust in the private sector in Romania,” Burleanu said.
According to the stocktaking report of the FRF, on December 31, 2023, the federation counted for 10.7 million euros in debts, income in advance of 35.7 million euros and reserves and capital of 12.3 million euros.
In 2023, FRF collected 5.9 million euros from the rights to televise the matches of the national team, and 8.9 million euros from sponsorship and advertising.
The General Assembly of the Romanian Football Federation took place on Tuesday at Casa Fotbalului, in the presence of 239 affiliated members, out of a total of 278.
