Romanian MEP Benea elected chair of European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (REGI)

Romanian MEP Dragos Benea (S&D) on Tuesday was elected chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (REGI) for a two-and-a-half-year term, according to the official website of the European Parliament.

Six other Romanian MEPs will be vice-chairs of various standing committees of the European Parliament: Rares Bogdan (EPP) in the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET); Iuliu Winkler (EPP) in the Committee on International Trade (INTA); Daniel Buda (EPP) in the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI); Maria Grapini (S&D) in the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO); Cristian Terhes (ECR) and Claudiu Manda (S&D) in the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT).
