Businesses resulting from market services provided mainly to businesses decreased, as unadjusted series, by 0.1%, in H1 2024, compared to the similar period in 2023, shows the data published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
According to the quoted source, between January 1 and June 30, 2024, there were decreases in: transport activities (-5.7%), communication activities (-0.9%) and other services provided mainly to businesses (-0.4%).
At the opposite end, increases were reported in the activities of cinematographic, video, television program production; broadcast and transmission of programs (+12.7%) and IT and information technology service activities (+4.5%).
As an adjusted series, depending on the number of working days and seasons, in the first six months of the current year, the turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises increased, overall, by 0.8%.
The INS data reveals that, in June 2024, compared to June 2023, business from market services provided mainly to enterprises, decreased both as unadjusted series (-8.4%) and as an adjusted series (-5.8% ). Negative results were recorded in the activities of IT services and information technology (-12.8%), transport activities (-8.5%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (-7.3%) and in the activities of communications (-1.4%). Instead, the activities of film production, video, television programs; broadcasting and transmission of programs increased by 1.2%.
At the same time, at the end of June this year compared to the previous month, the turnover from market services provided mainly to businesses, as unadjusted series, decreased by 12.9%, and as an adjusted series, it decreased by 16.3%.
