Social vouchers of 2,000 RON for women from vulnerable categories, mothers

Women who are part of a vulnerable category, who gave birth starting on April 12, 2024, can benefit from social vouchers worth 2,000 RON, which can be used to buy products intended for the care of the newborn, informs the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity (MMSS).

„The procedure for distributing social vouchers on electronic support for mothers with disadvantaged newborns, as well as the related implementation mechanism, provided for in the Joint Order of the Ministers of Labor and Social Solidarity, respectively European Investments and Projects and Development, Public Works and Administration, become applicable with the publication in the Official Gazette no. 763 of August 5, 2024. Thus, women who are part of a vulnerable category and who gave birth starting on April 12, 2024 can benefit from social vouchers worth 2,000 RON can be used to buy products intended for the care of the newborn,” announced the MMSS through a statement posted on the institution’s Facebook page.

The program runs for four years, and the voucher is given only once for each newborn.

Beneficiary mothers of the minimum inclusion income, mothers with disabilities, mothers in critical situations (disasters, domestic violence, etc.), mothers without identity documents, minor mothers and mothers of foreign citizens or stateless persons from conflict zones can benefit from this type of support.

„The program is financed by the Social Inclusion and Dignity Program 2021-2027 and has a total budget of 119,239,200 RON (24 million euros).
