The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, declared on Wednesday, in Focsani, that on lot 4 of the Moldova Highway, Mandresti Munteni – Focsani, which will be put into circulation on Thursday, the constructor set a real record, over 3,200 workers with 1,000 machinery being involved in the construction of this highway section.

„Tomorrow afternoon (Thursday – ed. n) traffic will be opened on these first 11 kilometers. I would add one more extremely important thing. It is the first 11 kilometers that are financed by the PNRR, a national program of recovery and resilience that had its good parts and the less good parts that we tried to correct. The important thing is that we have these 11 kilometers that will be put into circulation tomorrow. We have next week for batches and 2, those from Buzau and Ramnicu Sarat, will also be put into circulation. In December, we will have lot 3, from here, and also lots 1 and 2, between Ploiesti and Buzau. …) You should know that on this lot, at one point, the record was broken. There were about 3,200 workers and 1,000 machines. That means strength and deserves all the congratulations to the builder, a builder who has a lot of work from now on,” declared the Minister of Transport.

He emphasized that the works on the A7 highway up to Pascani „are going very well” and that offers were also submitted for the first lot between Pascani and Suceava.

„Up to Bacau, things are progressing and are at a very advanced stage. Also, the other 70 or so kilometers from Bacau to Pascani have made a lot of progress. And here, on the A7, things are going very well. (.. .) I’m glad that this week the first batch between Pascani and Suceava had a submission deadline. There are three offers at the moment, because our target is to take the A7 highway to Siret, to the border with Ukraine important thing, and now the first step has been taken. In a few days, the submission period for the second batch will close, so that in these winter weeks it can be judged by the Commission, so that the winners can be announced,” Grindeanu explained.

He emphasized that in two weeks the express road Craiova – Pitesti will be put into circulation.

„Mr. Prime Minister, in two weeks we must also go to the south, because I absolutely want to complete the express road and put it into circulation, from Craiova to Pitesti. And there we have sections to complete, which until the end we will put them into circulation this year,” the minister added.

Sorin Grindeanu together with the Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu were in Vrancea on Wednesday, to check the state of works on the Moldavia Highway.
