The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower on all indices on Monday, with turnover amounting to 10.5 million lei (2.1 million euros) after 30 minutes of trading.
The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decline of 0.98%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, saw a decrease of 0.95%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid titles, lost 0.89%, while the performance benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 1.06%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks the SIFs, recorded a decrease of 0.58%, while the BET-NG index, which includes 10 companies from the energy and utilities sector, saw a drop of 0.78%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.29%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in stock values were recorded by Romcab (+14.81%), Sinteza (+14.39%), and Mecanica Fina (+4.64%).
On the other hand, the stocks with the largest declines were SSIF BRK Financial Group (-4.14%), Compa (-3.36%), and Simtel Team (-3.57%).
