The „Global Forum to Prevent Radiological/Nuclear Terrorism”, organized for the first time in Romania

The „Global Forum to Prevent Radiological/Nuclear Terrorism”, organized for the first time in Romania, started today, 13 November, in Bucharest.

The opening session of the event included speeches by the US Ambassador to Romania, Kathleen Kavalec; the Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ana Tinca and the US Assistant Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins.

Through this Forum, which brings together more than 200 participants, representatives of partner governments and international organizations, the United States seeks to foster multilateral cooperation to combat radiological and nuclear terrorism.
