The Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, announced on Wednesday that there is no risk of blackout in Romania, under current conditions, even if on the first and second days of Easter Romania will produce more electricity than the consumption demand.
„I am transmitting from the outset what the specialists have conveyed to me: there is no risk of blackout in Romania, under the current conditions! I ask the press representatives, but also the political actors, to show responsibility and not to induce panic. In short, we will have two days – the first and second day of Easter, especially between 11 am and 4 pm – in which we will produce more electricity than the consumption demand. We will have to very carefully manage the balancing of the system, the frequency and voltage levels in both the transmission and distribution grids, in order not to cause damage to the insulation of the national grid installations,” Burduja wrote on his Facebook page.
