Tonnes of appliances, clothes and furniture from Germany and France denied entry at western border

Published on

More than 37 tonnes of household appliances, furniture and clothes brought from France and Germany and declared at the border as second-hand goods turned out to be waste, according to the authorities in western Arad and Bihor counties, which denied the entry of the products to the country.

The trucks carrying the waste checked at the Nadlac II and Bors II border crossing points were registered in Romania and driven by Romanian drivers.

The authorities have ordered the vehicles to be returned to their countries of origin.
