Turnover from business services provided to enterprises in Romania slightly up two months into 2025

The turnover of business services provided mainly to enterprises in Romania increased January 1 – February 28, 2025, y-o-y, by 0.1% unadjusted the National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported on Friday.

According to INS, in the first two months of 2025 the turnover of business services provided mainly to enterprises unadjusted, there were increases in communications services (+5.4%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (+3%) and transport services (+1.6%). Decreases were reported in turnovers from motion picture, video, and television programme production activities; broadcasting and transmission of programmes (-21.1%) and information services and information technology services (-6.3%).

Adjusted for seasonality, the turnover increased by 0.2% y-o-y overall.

The turnover from business services provided mainly to enterprises, unadjusted, in February 2025 increased in nominal terms year-on-year by 0.6% overall on increases in turnover from communications services (+5.5%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (+2.7%) and transport activities (+0.4%). Decreases were recorded in motion picture, video, and television programme production activities; broadcasting and transmission of programmes (-21.1%) and information services and information technology services (-3.3%).

Adjusted for seasonality, it was up 1.6% overall in nominal terms.

In February 2025 compared with January 2025, the turnover from business services provided mainly to enterprises increased both unadjusted (+5%) and seasonally adjusted (+0.3%), largely due to increases in turnovers from transport services (+10.6%); information services and information technology services (+8.1%); motion picture, video, and television programme production activities; broadcasting and transmission of programmes (+5.4%), other services provided mainly to businesses (+2%) and communications services (+1.3%).
