UKRAINE – THREE YEARS OF WAR/ Parliament Palace to light up in Ukrainian flag’s colours

Published on

Parliament Palace in Bucharest will be illuminated this evening in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

The Chamber of Deputies marks three years since the start of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine by lighting up the main facade of the House of Parliament in the colours of the Ukrainian flag starting at 19:00hrs, EET.

The Ukrainian flag will also be hoisted today at the main entrance of the building.

In a plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies a minute of silence will be held for the Ukrainian citizens who lost their lives in this unjustified wa.

Russia’s full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, after President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine to defend separatists in the eastern parts of the country in a televised statement. Thus, Russia launched a large-scale offensive on Ukraine on the morning of February 24, with missile attacks on Ukrainian military infrastructure, followed by a ground offensive on several fronts.
