USR’s Catalin Drula: Klaus Iohannis puts another signature on the country’s bankruptcy

Published on

The chairman of Save Romania Union (USR) Catalin Drula stated that president Klaus Iohannis promulgated the Social-Democratic Party-National Liberal Party (PSD-PNL) law which „punishes work and sacrifices people’s incomes in the name of financing the incompetence of the current administration”, ignoring the Romanians who told him that „the project is not even honest, nor efficient”, according to Agerpres.

„Klaus Iohannis promulgated the PSD-PNL law which stipulates that if you work two hours, you must pay for eight. This is what a president with supposed liberal pedigree does, in the midst of a crisis, with record inflation of almost 17% and with 35% of the population at risk of poverty. This law only shows how much the voice of Romanians matters to the president, who repeatedly told him that the project is neither honest nor efficient. It punishes work and sacrifices people’s income in the name of financing the incompetence of the current administration. And it shows, above all, how wrong is the cynicism of the PSD-PNL coalition, which solemnly promised that there would be no new taxes or increased taxes. Klaus Iohannis worked one more day. He put another signature on the bankruptcy of the country,” Drula wrote on Facebook.

President Klaus Iohannis promulgated, on Tuesday, the law that brings changes to the Fiscal Code, the normative act providing, among other things, that the surcharge on part-time employment contracts will continue as provided for in Government Ordinance 16/2022 amending the Fiscal Code.
