Every Romanian who goes to vote in the runoff of the presidential election „will make history”, said on Wednesday interim President Ilie Bolojan, calling on „Romania that understands that performance is done seriously and not with scandal.”
He participated in the Romanian Business Leaders’ Summit.
„Romania does not change from Bucharest, from one government or another, but Romania changes from every place where Romanians in privately-run companies or in the public sector do their duty. But Romania changes faster when people do more than they are asked to do and what you do – do more than what is asked of you – that means speeding up change, that means not only a more entrepreneurial Romania, but a better Romania for all. For all this, I thank you,” Bolojan told the summit.
He said that it must be acknowledged that the current situation is not „ideal.”
„I said last Sunday that the quiet times are over and that every Romanian who goes to vote can make history. Now, one week from Sunday, I believe that every Romanian who will get out and vote will make history. And my request is that you vote as your conscience tells you to, but think about Romania’s status in this world, think about dignity, about the people who work, think about normality. And all these things mean European Romania, Romania that works, Romania that understands that performance is done seriously and not with scandal.”
