Every well-organized election brings us closer to a society in which citizens feel that their voice matters, believes the interim president, Ilie Bolojan.

„Thank you to everyone who contributed to the smooth running of this election – the electoral authorities, observers, law enforcement, administrative personnel and every Romanian who chose to vote. Through your effort and involvement, we managed to organize free, fair and transparent elections,” Bolojan wrote on Facebook.

According to him, „in a period in which citizens’ trust in institutions is being tested, this democratic exercise is clear proof that Romania works and that when we assume our responsibility with seriousness and good faith, we can offer citizens reasons for trust.”
